Total Home Makeover

The home below started out as a small A-frame home from the 1960’s.  The owner wanted a complete makeover with additional bedrooms, garage, more living space and remodel of existing exterior. The pictures below give you an idea of the challenges involved.  The new home resulted in a forward extension of the existing A-frame structure to the front, covered front entry, expansion to the side for additional bedrooms, bathroom, 2-car garage, finished basement, screened & covered back porch, a complete new kitchen with granite countertops, new cabinets, new appliances, hardwood floors throughout the home, new heating and cooling systems, lighting and other smaller upgrades to complete the makeover.

Wasted space in an attic can be turned into living areas in many homes.  Below is an example of using empty attic space to create a complete bedroom and bathroom. The work involved creating a new bedroom in the attic, a new bathroom with stone countertops, shower and floors, and opening up the ceiling and designing a staircase to blend with the home’s existing decor.

Remodeling a 60 Year Old Home

Remodeling your older home may be the answer to the economy’s downturn.  Just about any home can be turned into a “new home” and below is an excellent example. This home has been modernized and improved inside and outside with a new drive in front and side, new retaining wall and new parking area. New walkways were also added to access the new addition to the home.  Inside the home, the kitchen got a complete makeover with new granite countertops, new cabinets, an island, new appliances and built-in shelving. A beautiful sunroom or screened porch was added along with new tile and hardwood flooring and a complete new bathroom.
